"Are radio commercials just background noise, or more? Are tailored Facebook ads just pictures to fill the computer screen, or more? This lecture will give insights in the most recent research on the field of media multitasking and will cover the leading academic information processing (i.e. the Elaboration Likelihood Model, the Low Attention Processing Model, Limited Capacity Model and the Mere Exposure Effect) in order to understand the effects of adverting while media multitasking."

Wendalin Ellen van de Giessen, MSc. BA. Current position: Lecturer Research and Consumer Behavior at Fontys Academy Creative Industries in Tilburg, the Netherlands. Conducting Research on the field of Persuasive Communication, advertising effects, consumer psychology, media multitasking, and cultural differences & advertising. Former Lecturer Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam, Research assistant at the University of Amsterdam, Education: Research Master Persuasive Communication at the University of Amsterdam, Bachelor in Japanese Language & Culture at the University of Leiden.
